Boot the Ute 🦞

A podcast for 40+ year old women named Sharnie who’ve had a hysterectomy.

(or for anyone who wants to hear stories of hysterectomy recovery and life sans uterus)

The lived experiences of two professional clowns who happen to both be called “Sharnie”, who also happen to be between the ages of 40 and 45, who ALSO happen to have had hysterectomies.

What?

It’s way more common than you think. Someone YOU know named Sharnie has probably had one!

This podcast has absolutely no business offering any kind of medical advice, but is hopefully useful to someone who’s thinking about having, or has had, or knows someone who’s had a hysterectomy. Or is named Sharnie.

And seriously, we are not medical professionals, unless we play one on stage.

Boot the Ute was recorded in Naarm | Melbourne, on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. Chanie & Sharney would like to acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, and always will be, aboriginal land.

Episode 5 finally talks about the subject that has been on the tip of Chanie and Sharney's tongues since Boot the Ute began...SEX. From the vault to the clit (and the tailbone in-between), we discuss all things pleasure and pain whilst Chanie asks Sharney the hard questions such as; If you do it once, can you do it again? What is Dysorgasmia? And most importantly, is Doogie Howser a real Doctor?
TW: We allude to sexual trauma in general for a hot second, but no actual details are disclosed and it is a safe listen.
Sexual Healing Here We Cum! Let's get it on and talk about it, shoop shoopa doop ;)
ps. We are NOT doctors.
